If the latest single by hard rocking Kent lads The SuperMicks has escaped your attention, then I suggest you take a few minutes to rectify that. ‘Time On Me’ is a no-nonsense shot of adrenaline anchored by a great riff. It’s not too much of a stretch to imagine Dave Grohl belting this one out, but SuperMicks main man Wayne Jones is just as good, delivering a catchy chorus that will lodge itself in your brain from the first listen.

The breakdown comes as a bit of a surprise, albeit a welcome one; a deliciously heavy interlude complete with some serious rumbling bass courtesy of Greg Edwards. It’s the perfect introduction to a short, but intense guitar solo. Cleverly dropping away to just drums and vocals, before the rest of the band thunder back in, this foursome know how to keep things exciting.

The SuperMicks invite you to spend some time with them - it would be rude to say no.

Wayne Jones - vocals/guitar

James Reeve - guitar

Greg Edwards - bass

Billy Hodgson - drums
